What You Need to Know

As an owner-run Bed & Breakfast, we are onsite to assist should you have any questions.

We have established policies especially to ensure that each of our guests’ stay is exceptional, safe and secure. We are an owner-run business and cancellations have a big impact on us.  As our guest, it is your responsibility, however, to know and understand our policies.  Please review carefully.

• 50% deposit required at time of booking
• Balance of payment is automatically charged 14 days before date of arrival
• Payments accepted by credit card (Visa or Mastercard) 
• Rates are based on double occupancy, per room – no single rates

• CHECK IN – 4 p.m – 10 p.m 
• You don’t need to rush to get here at 4 pm. We will not give your room away. Ever
• Late arrivals If you must check in after 10 p.m – please call so we can discuss the timing 
• Thinking of arriving ahead of time?  Priority check in sneaks you in at 2pm – a $25 surcharge applies, only available on pre-order
• CHECK OUT – 11 a.m
• Departing early is at your discretion – no refund provided

• If you have a dietary need we will do our best to accommodate with advance notice prior to your arrival

• NO smoking or vaping or Cannabis in room
• Smoking area provided outside
• We reserve the right to charge your credit card on file the equivalent of 1 night stay to cover the cost of cleaning, and/or replacing any damaged furniture etc if we have determined that a guest has violated this smoking policy

We understand that your plans can change so please take time to review our cancellation policies BEFORE booking.

• Deposit is fully-refundable 14 days prior to arrival
• Within 14 days of arrival your deposit is non-refundable 
• A $25 cancellation fee will be withheld on cancellations allowing us to cover administration fees
• No refund given for early departures
• No show – if you simply do not show up for your reservation, you will be charged 100% of the cost of your stay. No refund
• We also recommend that you consider purchasing trip protection insurance for your peace of mind
• Covid-19 cancellations – If the government advises that we cannot be open due to Covid-19 you will be refunded what you have paid. The $25 cancellation admin fee will be waived in this instance only
• If you are asked to quarantine because you have come into contact with someone with Covid-19, a credit for a future stay will be provided
• If you have a positive Covid-19 test and need to cancel, we will need proof of the positive test in order to process your refund. Please read our Staying Safe & Healthy page for more Covid-19 related information

• Due to the nature of the terrain, we are not wheelchair accessible

• 1 night minimum, 5 night maximum
• 2 guests maximum per suite – no additional overnight guests 
• We limit those on property to those who are registered with us 
• ADULT only – we are an adult only retreat designed for a true get away – to ensure everyone’s expectations are met, no guests under 18 year of age
• Complimentary parking 
• NO cooking aside from using the BBQ that is available on request
• Please consider quiet time from 11 p.m – 8 a.m

• Complementary WiFi is provided on premise
• Note that throughout the Bruce Peninsula there are cell phone ‘dead zones’ – service is dependent on your provider and location. If your phone permits, you can use WiFi calling when on site

• We are at the End of the Lake and also the end of the Road so there is wildlife around and we must be cognizant of them and show respect by giving them their space

• No pets are allowed. We have 1 cat, which is very friendly and generally keeps to itself
